MRIQuiz is on the money. The guy Kris who runs it even goes out his way to answer questions one on one. I used it and passed with an 88. If you're looking to pass the registry boards this is a must. Good luck cause it's not an easy test.
I am a sonographer and want to study MRI but someone was discouraging me that it is a lot of physical work because you have to move the patients on the machine and you gat so amny muskuloskeletal injuries is it a fact?
there is a lot of physical work in MRI. YOu are constantly moving obese patients from their bed, to MRI stretcher to MRI table, then back to MRI stretcher to patients bed when scan is done. YOu are constantly lifting and changing coils on the tables and moving patients from wheelchair to table. It is a very demanding job with a lot of potential for back injuries. Infact, most MRI techs will probably tell you they have terrible backs

I passed the ARRT last year it was not hard at all, I used MRI in practice but what really got me through was Bill and Dan from MRI CT group in Florida. sign up for their 4 week online $500 review course and you will pass easy. The Faulkner/ Roth review book is full of wrong answers and to date no one has fixed it. I bought both the hard copy and kindle and I was really mad that I wasted all that money do not buy that book trust me on this. They should be ashamed for not proof reading that book before sending it to print. Anyway don't get all nevous over this. I got an 88 and finished in under an hour and I went in thinking it would be so hard I was sure to fail. I had one math question and never touched a calculator. Call Bill and Dan it will be the best money you ever spent. If you are looking to cross train take the full course it's the best course out there and the cheapest.

I used a registry review book called...MRI "All-In-One" Registry Review...when I recently took my registry. The book is pretty new and good, and is written exactly following the ARRT content specs. I think its better than other review books because it isnt based on memorizing random questions that most likely are not going to be on the actual exam. The book gives you actual information in an organized outline with many tables and charts to make memorization of important numbers easy....I almost got a perfect score when I took my exam :) ... here is a link to the book......http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/471125

Anyone how the job outlook is for CT and MRI in the Chicago area? I'm contemplated going back to school for both but I'm skeptical since the job market has been tough. Anyone have any luck? I see positions popping up here and there but who's to say HR for these hospitals is actually hiring. I've heard that they just post positions to just make it seem like they're growing. Which is straight up bs.
